IWZ RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

         I.      Roleplaying Rules All

a.      The IWZ is NOT a sim fed, and we’re not a fed for people who don’t know how to roleplay. This is a solid roleplay federation.

b.      There will be NO arguing about the results of the match. The president of the IWZ will decide ALL the winners of matches. No exceptions will be made.

c.      If you argue about the result of a match, you will be on jobber duty for one week. So even if you out roleplay someone, you WILL lose your next match. Argue THAT and you’ll be suspended.

d.      Battle royals will be decided by roleplays and by who DESERVES the win. Ex: Let’s say we have a 10 man battle royal, a rookie who has just come in and roleplays 20 times in two days MAY win, unless someone who has been in the IWZ for two months, roleplays their ass off, and does what they can to make the IWZ a better place is in the battle royal. That person deserves it MORE and will win it.

e.      A match where no one roleplays will be declared a draw.

       II.      Roleplay Guidelines

a.      You have until MIDNIGHT the day before the event to roleplay for it. Any roleplays submitted AFTER the deadline will count for the FOLLOWING week. 12 A.M. PST on Wednesday, to be exact, is the deadline.

b.      All roleplays during a week period will count for that week. IE, 12:00 A.M. PST on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 through 11:49 P.M. PST on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 will count for Warriors on the 22nd AND for the pay-per-view on the 26th. Wednesday-Saturday roleplays on the week of the PPV will NOT count for the PPV, but rather for Warriors on the following Wednesday.

      III.      Titles Of The IWZ

a.      The IWZ has THREE titles, no more. This is to keep enough competition in the separate divisions, rather than spreading ourselves thin.

                                      i.      IWZ World Heavyweight Title

1.      This title will be defended at EVERY pay-per-view, unless there is a special circumstance (ie. Six-man main event, etc.)

                                       ii.      IWZ Internet Title

1.      This title must be defended at least once a month, at TV events OR the monthly pay-per-views.

                                       iii.      IWZ Television Title

1.      This title MUST be defended EVERY week at television events.

b.      Tag-Team titles will only be added when we have at least FOUR active tag-teams.

c.      You can only receive a title shot if you are eligible based on your points standing (see section III.)

d.      If you are feuding with a champion and you do not currently have enough points to fight for his title, you will have to fight and win OTHER matches in order to gain points to fight for the belt.

   IV.      Winning Matches

a.      Match winning is as simple as in the real world. Pinfall, submission, DQ, and countout. However, TITLES WILL CHANGE HANDS on countout and disqualification.

     V.      Points Are Our Friends

a.      The IWZ uses a unique point system for getting title shots and veteran status.

b.      The point system will also decide what division you are in at that moment, and what title you are eligible for receiving a shot at.

                                          i.      Main Event Status – 60-Above Points

                                          ii.      Upper Mid-Card Status – 40-59 Points

                                          iii.      Mid-Card Status – 20-39 Points

                                          iv.      Lower Mid-Card Status – 10-19 Points

                                          v.      Opener Status – 1-9 Points

                                          vi.      Jobber Status – 0 Points

c.      You must be main event to receive a World title shot, Upper Mid-Card to receive an Internet title shot, and Mid-Card to receive a Television title shot.

d.      If you hold a title and move up into a different division, you can either vacate the title or keep it until you lose it.

e.      Only the TOP FIVE WRESTLERS IN A DIVISION are eligible for a title shot. Let’s say you have 43 points, but five others have 54, 50, 48, 46, and 44, you can NOT receive a shot at the Internet title until you move above the others.

                                        i.      Win A World Title Match - +10 points

                                       ii.      Tie A World Title Match - +3 points

                                      iii.      Lose A World Title Match - -9 points

                                      iv.      Win Other Title Match - +5 points

                                       v.      Tie Other Title Match - +2 points

                                      vi.      Lose Other Title Match - -4 points

                                     vii.      Win Singles Match - +3 point

                                    viii.      Tie Singles Match - +1 points

                                     ix.      Lose Singles Match - -2 point

                                      x.      Win Tag Match - +2 points

                                     xi.      Tie Tag Match - +0 points

                                    xii.      Lose Tag Match - -1 points

   VI.      Events

a.      The IWZ will hold ONE television event a week and ONE pay-per-view a month. The IWZ “year” is six months, so there are six pay-per-views in a “year” before we start from the beginning again.

b.      IWZ Wednesday Warriors will be held on, you guessed it, Wednesdays.

c.      All pay-per-views are to be held on the last Sunday of the month OR on the first of the following month if it falls on a Sunday.

                                    i.      January/July – In Your Face

1.      All “In Your Face” pay-per-views are generic pay-per-views where any type of matches can take place.

                                   ii.      February/August – The Gauntlet

1.      The Gauntlet is a 5 man gauntlet. The first two fight, the winner continues on. He fights the next person, and so on, and so on. The winner is declared the IWZ King Of The Gauntlet and will receive a World title shot at the next In Your Face.

                                 iii.      March/September – In Your Face

                                 iv.      April/October – Royal War

1.      The Royal War features a 15 man over the top rope Royal Rumble, with the winner going on to fight the World champion at WrestlePalooza.

                                  v.      May/November – In Your Face

                                 vi.      June/December – WrestlePalooza

1.      The biggest event in the IWZ year; our WrestleMania. The World title MUST be defended.

d.      The IWZ will hold HOUSE SHOWS on Monday’s, Friday’s, and Saturday’s. House shows will be decided based on the roleplays from the week BEFORE, and all matches will be made by random. You will not know who you’re fighting until the results have come out. This will help people’s points increase, or decrease, and will also make sure people realize that they have to roleplay EVERY week, whether they have a match or not.

e.      ALL Pay-Per-View matches will be written out IN FULL.

f.        SOME TV event matches will be written out in full, others will be summarized.

g.      ALL House Show matches will be summarized using Extreme Warfare Revenge.

  VII.      Staff

a.      Any and ALL staff members are to be respected as such. If you get into an argument with a staff member, the president will overlook statements from both sides, and if both are at fault, the staff member will lose his staff position and the wrestler will be put on probation. If only the wrestler is at fault, he will be suspended. If only the staff member is at fault, he will be fired from his staff position.

b.      These rules are NOT negotiable, don’t try.

c.      Do NOT argue with the president, he is the man in charge, there are no repercussions against him. Period.

VIII.      Staff Positions

a.      There are a number of staff positions that must be filled.

                                        i.      President – 1

                                       ii.      Board Moderator – 2

                                      iii.      Storyline Assistant – 1

                                      iv.      Match Writer – 3

b.      Many matches will be written by the president, but match writers are needed for other matches.

c.      A match writer must submit his match with NO ending the day before an event. The president will add the ending when all roleplays are tallied. If a match writer has a special ending in mind, he can write out TWO endings and the president will just pick the ending that will coincide with who wins the match.

   IX.      Match Submission

a.      You must SUBMIT your match to the staff at least three days before the TV event to allow proper time to write the match. If you want a match on Wednesday, we need to receive your request by SUNDAY. If you do not submit your request by Sunday, you will NOT receive your match.

b.      A match for pay-per-view is preferably submitted at the beginning of the month, but you must give us a minimum of a week before the event to write the match. So if you want a PPV match, you must have your match submitted the Sunday BEFORE the PPV.

c.      As is obvious, Sunday is the match submission deadline for everything.

d.      If we don’t have enough matches for an event after Sunday night, we will add random matches to the card.

     X.      Message Board Rules

a.      On the roleplay board, do NOT start a new thread if there is already a thread on the board for the match you’re roleplaying for. Try to keep ALL roleplays for a single match on a SINGLE thread.

b.      Do NOT start arguments on the OOC board, as the thread will be deleted as soon as the president or one of the moderators catches wind of the argument.

c.      NO naked pictures are to be posted in the pictures section. The pictures section is there to post character comparison pictures that I can’t find or that are hard to find. NO NUDES!

d.      Do NOT post useless threads and messages! If you overly post useless messages it WILL be deleted.

   XI.      Character Comparisons

a.      You MUST choose a character comparison for your wrestler. If the president receives your application with no character comparison on it, you will not be accepted into the IWZ.

b.      Your comparison can be any wrestler or actor. They MUST be someone who is easy to find pictures of. No Mr. Largo from your High School Driver’s Ed class. Bill Goldberg, Masato Tanaka, Johnny Depp, etc, are acceptable.

c.      If YOU can provide all the pictures needed of your character comparison and s/he is not easily findable on the internet, then you can use that person.

d.      NO changing character comparisons. You pick it, you’re STUCK with it.

e.      You can’t use a character comparison that a former IWZ member has used UNLESS the comparison has not been used for DVD’s and other on-site graphics.

f.        CHECK the website before you choose your character comparison to make sure he isn’t already taken. If you choose a comparison that is already taken, you won’t be accepted into the IWZ.

 

APPENDIX A
POINTS TO START 

As the federation starts out, we will obviously have to ASSIGN a number of points at first so we can establish divisions. After the first month, let’s say we have 10 wrestlers. If their points are 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, then we will distribute points like this. The 10, 9, and 8 will have their points increased to 60. The 7, 6, and 5 will become 40’s. The 4, 3, 2 will become 20’s, and the 1 will become a 10. If there is anyone in the zero range, they will be moved up to a five, and we will continue on from there.

 

APPENDIX B
HOUSE SHOW TITLE 

An IWZ House Show Title will be awarded at a house show. It will be awarded at RANDOM to a winner of one of the matches (most likely the main event). ANYONE (including brand new wrestlers) can become the House Show champion. The winner will then defend the title at every House Show until he loses it. Then the next champion will do the same, and so on.

 

APPENDIX C
DARK MATCHES 

If someone roleplays during a week but doesn’t submit a match to the staff because either A) he gets no responses to his challenges or B) he forgets, then he MAY receive a DARK match. There are many other reasons someone may receive a dark match, but we won’t go over those here. A dark match will NOT be written at ALL. A dark match will be summarized in a sentence.
ie. The Rock beat Stone Cold Steve Austin by pinfall in 3:02.

 

APPENDIX D
TAG-TEAM POINTS

You do NOT have to be the one who wins or loses the match for your team to have points added or taken away from your score. There is NO set point value for receiving a Tag-Team title shot, as when Tag-Team titles are introduced, ALL tag-teams will be eligible for shots.

 

APPENDIX E
CHARACTER RULES

The IWZ is for FAKE wrestlers ONLY. No Steve Austin's, Great Muta's, Jim Carrey's, or Axl Rose's. You are only allowed ONE wrestler, no more.

 

APPENDIX F
BATTLE ROYALS

Any win attained by a battle royal/royal rumble will be counted as a SINGLES TITLE win (so you'd receive 3 points). If you DON'T win a battle royal you will NOT be marked down for a loss. Only the winner receives recognition for the match.
