HISTORY
Background:
As a child Brook wasn't familiar with wrestling, it wasn't really his thing. At a young age brook became very fond of American football. He played for a local under 15's side and also played for his school team. He wanted to try and achieve a scholarship in football but was told by the team coach that he would never make, so even though he didn't want to, Brook gave up football altogether.

Through his later teen years Brook went through countless low paid jobs including working on a docks and working in a local bar called, "Bar Viga" in his hometown of Anaheim, California. After becoming bored with his lifestyle, Brook decided that he would make himself look and feel better, so he therefore joined a local gym. He trained the three times a week and whenever he was off work or had any free time.

After spending countless nights in the gym and becoming increasingly big in size, Brook would get a well-paid job as a bouncer in a top club in Venice Beach, California where he would at least earn more than his previous jobs anyway. At the age of twenty Brook still felt that there was something that he needed to do in his life, something worth fighting for and living for.

A leading local wrestling promoter approached Brook one night when he was down the Gym. The promoter named Tommy James then asked Brook to take up his offer of training to become a pro wrestler. Brook had a couple of day's think about it and in the end thought its something new but why not, what have got to lose and therefore gave it a try.

At first Brook didn't really get into the whole wrestling thing, mostly the entertainment aspect of it. After being trained by Tommy James for a about a year and working matches in Tommy's regional promotion the Sunset Wrestling Alliance Brook was asked to join a leading wrestling promotion the 'Extreme Pro Wrestling'. The SWA was one of many feeder camps for the EPW.

After wrestling his final match for the SWA Brook then instantly joined the EPW. At first he wrestled house shows and lower card matches but after a while the EPW booker realised that they had something special here in Brook Ryan and pushed him to mid card status. After 4 months he found himself a manager by the name of Alex Steven and with his help he would capture the EPW Television championship from fan favourite, "Chris Reno" at his pay-per-view debut.

Stevens then brought both his clients together to win the EPW World Tag Team championships in a round robin tournament after the Current tag champions had spilt up and were forced to vacate the belts. Ryan and Luis De Luca would become a force to be reckoned with through their four-month reign as champions. Their championship reign came to an end after De Luca became jealous of the recognition Ryan was getting and then he purposely lost the tag championships. These two would then meet at the next pay-per-view, 'Impact' and would fight in a Hardcore match for the Television championship. Ryan would lose that match after Alex Stevens choose to be with De Luca over Ryan. Stevens screwed him out of the match and the championship.

Now at the age the young age of twenty-three Ryan had captured the Television championship and the tag team championship. The only belt that he now needed to have in his hand was the world heavyweight championship. He won the right to have a world title shot after winning a four man, over-the-top battle royal on 'Tuesday Night Rage' which included Luis De Luca, Paul Devlin and 'Crazy' Chris Richards. At the next PPV Ryan would wrestle the current champion and the top man in the federation, Stephen Steele. Ryan would win the match via disqualification but not the championship. Steele used the chair on Ryan after he knew that he would lose the belt. EPW owner, Ray Irvine granted Ryan a rematch at the next PPV. Ryan would win the world championship after a hellacious battle inside a steel cage, which was Stephen Steele's speciality match.

Ryan then earned the name 'The Beast' because of his ruthless aggression that he let loose on the EPW superstars. He would then hold the world championship for a long period of time and beat many of what the EPW had to offer. Eventually he lost the championship to Paul Devlin but regained it back the title back the next night. After regaining the championship Ryan was approached by a leading rival company named the IZW, which gave him an offer he could not refuse. After weeks of planning Brook Ryan went to the ring and told the world that he would be defecting. Brook Ryan was last seen on EPW leaving with the IZW Owner and the EPW World heavyweight championship.

Brook Ryan has now been planning his entrance into the IZW, scouting superstars and deciding which he would like to kill off first, who will be the first 'lamb to the slaughter'. He plans to come to the IZW and let the beast be unleashed, not letting anybody get in his way.
